Hi Chad and Melissa! Kaila and I are working on the website right now. Just wanted to give you guys some updates:
Kristen's pages:

Kaila's pages:
-Climatology
-Types of Gardens
We are both planning on putting our two new resources on these pages. We were thinking that we should make another page "resources" where we could post ALL of our stuff from the semester - podcasts, digital stories, etc. How does that sound? We will create this and post our stuff and you guys can add to it.
We will do the inspiration concept map but is there an easier way to do it besides re-doing the whole thing since Melissa created it in the first place. Honestly I don't know that we even have any changes to make. What do you think? We could take out a few things we didn't use but I don't think we have anything to add. It's hard for us to re-do it when we don't know what everyone is doing for their pages.
Can someone put the podcast together and post that? Also I think Melissa is the one who did the ePals and Google map (and Chad helped) can one of you guys post that?
That should be everything let us know your thoughts!

Hey not sure what happened but the side navigation thing is totally gone and we have no idea how this happened. Can you restore it?

We made the resource page where we can put all of our work we have done this semester. Go ahead and put your work in the correct space. We uploaded the google map on there but we can't figure out how to post the ePals on there. We tried everything, anyone else have any ideas? Maybe someone else can figure it out because we haven't been able to.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for the podcast, are they supposed to be combined together? Or just posted in order? We weren't totally sure about that. We can put it together but we just weren't positive.
We are also creating a page for the web evaluations. We are posting ours on there plus the extra ones. So you guys can just add yours to it.
The site's sidebar is still messed up, we aren't sure what's going on with it. Hopefully someone can figure it out! We have no idea what happened and we tried fixing it but nothing's working.

Hi - I'm a little worried that we aren't headed in the right direction. Kelsey gave us a sample website. Did you guys look at that? This isn't just pages of linked information. It is supposed to be a website with context. She said specifically NOT to do a resource page. That defeats the project purpose entirely. Look at the mod description and the examples she gave. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI fixed the sidebar navigation. I had to go back and re-add all the pages manually. Sooo, try not to edit the sidebar. If it needs tweaking let me know and I will do that. It was a bit of a pain. Thanks, C.

I guess I was just personally confused thinking that everything was separate. But I'll just add in my stuff in the appropriate places.
I have to work tonight so this is the only time I can able to be on and working on this right now. Who wants to plan on submitting the site? I'd be fine doing it, however I won't be home later. Just let me know.
I can submit the site. I won't do it until midnight -- that will give everyone until the deadline to get their stuff done.
ReplyDeleteI think you said it best -- we add in all our own stuff to the pages we each create. That seems to be how the sample web sites were created. Good luck with everything.
Hey guys. Thanks for fixing the sidebar Chad. Ok sorry I guess we were confused. I will add all of my stuff to my pages as well and then if I'm the last one I'll delete the 'resources' and 'helpful sites' or whatever the second one was. I'm on my way home from Brighton right now in the car and my computer is going to die in a few minutes. I'm going to finish when I get back. I haven't been able to look at the page yet today but did we get the ePals and inspiration on there? I think that was all we were missing besides our individual pages. I have no idea what happened to Melissa and I don't think she contacted Kelsey because she would have told us. If you submit it at midnight that would be great. I'll stay posted on here later also. Good work group!

ReplyDeleteI created the climatology page, but I'm not seeing it show up on the side. It says is a subpage of the welcome with the other two but I'm not seeing it there yet. Can anyone else?
